Nokwanda is a dynamic, multi-talented individual and seasoned strategist - possessing local and international experience - with a passion for delivering sustainable impact and change. She held several economics and strategic positions during her corporate years. In addition to her technical and leadership skills, she brings her entrepreneurship experience, creativity, objectivity and compassion to the organisation.

In her entrepreneurship capacity, Nokwanda was 1 (the only South African) of 21 individuals selected from over 250 applications from 25 different countries around the world by The Centre for Global Enterprise (CGE) to be part of their first Global Scholars Alpha Team (Consultancy) tasked with the objective of envisioning the market for taxis in 2025 for the London Taxi Company (LTC). Her business was 1 of 700 selected across the world to represent Africa’s emerging entrepreneurs at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (2016), at Stanford University. She is also an alumnus of the Netherlands initiated Orange Corners and a finalist (1 of 5) for the South African Cointreau Creative Crew (CCC) grant scheme; a global philanthropic French initiative made up of influential game-changing individuals who are independent, chic and inspiring. She also has a number of notable local achievements.

I offer wide range of skills in market research, strategy, project management, stakeholder mapping, analysis and management, investor relations, customer, business, industry and market analysis and insights, reporting, sales, market invest/divest analysis, networking, business savvy and innovation; to name a few. In addition to the above, I have the energy, character traits and teachable spirit to use my skills to learn, grow and acquire more skills to deliver according to business needs and standards.

At a community level, Nokwanda served in the Business Women of South Africa’s (BWASA) Gauteng branch, was a personal and advisory mentor for the Queen’s Young Leader (QYL) Award; provided by the University of Cambridge, which recognized and celebrated exceptional young individuals aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are doing impactful work in their communities and using their skills and passion to transform lives. She is currently a mentor for the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, mentoring final year university students and a faithful member within her local church.

Currently pursuing an Mphil in Industrial Policy at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), Nokwanda holds a B.Com (Economics and Econometrics) degree from the UJ, an Bcom (Honours) degree in Development Theory and Policy (WITS University), a Postgraduate Certificate in Programmme and Project Management (WITS University), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

During her corporate years, Nokwanda held several positions in economics, strategy, project management and economic development; with a tenure spanning over 10 years’ multi-industry experience in financial services, mining, construction, retail, government and tourism. With 8 years’ experience working with CEO’s, C-suite executives, Country MD's, Heads of departments, Traditional, Community Leaders and Government officials; managing strategic projects, stakeholders across business divisions, local provinces, and African and International markets.
